A storydraft

In 1991, Paul Spijkers (1961, 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands) started painting. He didn't have an official education in art; only because he felt the urge to do so. Paul likes to watch and he sometimes reads about it. He cannot always express visually. He still likes to reflect. Paul Spijkers now sometimes calls his works figurative abstractions: 'Visual art has to do with the exterior, but it is not'.

The artistic subjects of Paul are moving between the extremes in life - something that suits also the bipolar nature of Paul.

Paul's moods of the last years unfortunately were accompanied by longer periods of (almost) inactivity and lower productivity. Is there a dawn in the life of this artist?
